“ We stopped in for lunch on our way to Traverse City and we're so glad we did. The smell as you walk in is wonderful and the food doesn't disappoint. My brisket was very good and my wife enjoyed her pulled pork as well. The different BBQ sauces were very tasty as were the sides. The carrot cheesecake and cookie dough cheesecake they offered for dessert were both incredible. ”
“ This place is amazing!! Every one is so friendly and the food is great!! Love music on. Sundays! Will be back for sure!! ”
“ Had the Lobster Mac n Cheese with a side of pulled pork. Both dishes were very good and I would have them again!! ”
“ The BBQ was phenomenal! The place was pretty busy despite being a weekday, but we were sat right away and had timely, polite service. Outside next to the river is amazing on a warm, sunny day. I had the platter with ribs (perfect smoke and seasoning, no additional BBQ sauce necessary), the brisket was delicious, the wing was exactly how a chicken wing should always be (I'll take a wing from a BBQ/smokehouse over a wing shop any day), and the pulled pork was delicious and paired with all of the sauce options... my picky-eater 11 year old even liked it! I'll definitely be back ”
“ Great dining in Grayling, Michigan! The beer choices and cocktails were plentiful. Love how many drinks were cherry infused by the local crop. The 3 sauces they give you were all delicious and definitely had my favorite one. The brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken, etc were all delicious and the sides we had an issue trying to pick (because they all were amazing). Handicap, kid and overall pleasant friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend. ”
“ Greeted right away, friendly service. we were traveling and we didn’t want the normal fast food for lunch so I googled restaurants and rays came up. Right on the Ausable River. Indoor/outdoor seating. They have live music I think on the weekend. High top tables, booths, low tops and bar seating. Food was pretty good. The deviled eggs were a tad dry though. Husband got the pulled pork, ribs, and chicken his was decent. Although the ribs were not fall of the bone they were good and the rub was good. The sauces on the table were also pretty good. One has a little kick to it. If we are passing through again we definitely would love to come when there’s live music. ”
“ I just had the best brisket sandwich of my life at this smokehouse – The Beast! The service was wonderful, thanks to Lacey, who made our visit even better. And let's talk about those fries... perfectly crispy and the ranch? Best I've ever had! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for top-notch BBQ. ”
“ Outstanding experience at Ray’s BBQ. Tori was our server. She was super accommodating and nice. My daughter said her “grilled cheese was the best I ever had.” I loved the Making The Pig Time sandwich. It came with a caddy of sauces. I liked being able to try them all. My Moscow Mule was great and my daughter loved their Shirley Temple. The subtle blues music by the river was a great vibe. Can’t wait to return. Edit: (because I cant leave two reviews) Back again!! Got the pork shoulder. Omg. What a value. I received so much food! The mules are still amazing. I had Summer as a server this time. She was super attentive. I live a county over. Everytime I’m in Grayling, I stop at Ray’s. They never disappoint! ”
